The Hush Post: Close on the heels of mass suicide by 11 members of a Burari-based family that shocked the entire nation early this month, now seven members of a family in Ranchi allegedly committed suicide.
This Burari-like incident was reported from Ranchi, the state capital of Jharkhand. The alleged mass suicide was committed by the family living under the jurisdiction of Kanke police station area in Ranchi. Though the cops have started probing the matter, the exact cause of the same is yet to be established, a report said.
In a similar incident earlier this month, six members of a family had allegedly ended their lives in their flat in Jharkhand’s Hazaribag. A report by The Times of India said that the cops suspected financial stress to be the reason behind the family taking the extreme step.
These incidents within one month after 11 members of a family in Burari near Delhi were found dead under mysterious circumstances. It was later confirmed by the police that they themselves had ended their lives. But, the Delhi Police are still probing the matter with a murder angle, the report said.
The oldest member of the family, 75-year-old Narayana was the only one who was strangled to death, the bodies of the rest were found hanging from the roof of the courtyard in the house.
A register was later recovered from the residence of the family which pointed at the possibility of some “spiritual practice” behind the cause of the deaths, the report said.
