The Hush Post: Social Activist Swami Agnivesh was allegedly assaulted by Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Pakur district of Jharkhand on Tuesday.
As per initial reports, the BJYM workers raised slogans against the social activist and accused him of provoking Adivasis (tribal people) at the behest of Christian missionaries.
Further, the BJYM workers also alleged that Swami works for Pakistan and Christian missionaries. More details about the incident are awaited.
However, this is not the first time, Swami Agnivesh has been attacked publicly. Earlier in 2011, Agnivesh was assaulted at a public meeting by a seer, who was angry at his comments on the Amarnath shrine. The seer was later arrested.
Agnivesh, during a trip to Jammu in 2011, had allegedly said that he “does not understand why people go for such yatras” and had termed the “Shivlingam” that forms inside the Amarnath cave as some kind of a geographical phenomenon.
