The Hush Post: Bollywood ‘Queen’ Kangana Ranaut is gearing up to add yet another feather to her cap. It is learnt that she has been invited to be a keynote series speaker at Harvard Business School for India Conference 2018 held annually. She will dwell on the topics ‘Changing Entertainment Landscapes in India’ and ‘Disrupting the India Mainstream Cinema’. In the past, the India Conference has been host to prolific personalities like Amartya Sen, Omar Abdullah, Chanda Kochhar and P Chidambaram, to name a few. The conference has a legacy of bringing together government officials, business leaders, academics, lawyers, artists, athletes, philanthropists and many other leaders to meaningfully discuss key issues, solutions and opportunities in the context of India’s path to global leadership. This is not the first time Kangana will be speaking at an intellectual global forum. In October 2015, she had rubbed shoulders with Oscar-winner Meryl Streep at a summit in London and spoke on ‘Women Into the World’. Busy preparing for it, she said in one of her interviews, “I had studied a lot then too and the knowledge has remained with me”. She lamented that she will not paint a pessimistic picture of her country by dwelling on feudal systems, multiple religions and cultural shifts. On the work front, Ranaut will be next seen in Manikarnika , which is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai.
