Police have registered a case against the driver of the ambulance
The Hush Post: In what puts the humanity to the shame a man who had got critically injured in a road accident died when the medical staff left him upside-down on a stretcher as he had urinated in the ambulance in which he was being taken to a hospital.
The incident was reported from Kerala where a road accident victim was left upside down as he had urinated in the ambulance in a state of unconsciousness.
An accident victim, who had got seriously injured and had sustained head injury, was kept in an upside-down position on a stretcher while being taken to Thissur Medical College & Hospital in Kerala.
The shocking incident occurred last week, when the critically-injured man was admitted to a hospital in Palakkad and then referred to Thrissur for better treatment late in the evening.
As per reports, the driver of an ambulance got upset when an injured patient urinated in his vehicle in a state of unconsciousness.
The incident came to light when a video went viral on social media showing a critically-injured man lying on an inclined stretcher, one end of which is inside the ambulance and the other end, with the man’s head, on the ground, DNA reported on Monday.
The critically-injured man succumbed to his injuries even as his treatment was going on.
The police have registered a case against the driver of the ambulance for being ‘negligent act endangering the life of a person’, the report said.
“The staff had rushed inside the hospital to pick up gloves to assist the patient and that’s when the driver pulled the stretcher out,” NDTV reported quoting sources.
