Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan sets up a special investigation team to investigate the matter

Two owners of a photo studio in Kerala’s Kozhikode district were arrested by the police on the charges of morphing the photos of women, clicked at various wedding functions, and using the same for pornography.
This photo studio in Kozhikode district of Kerala had specialised in wedding photography and other family functions, Deccan Chronicle reported on Wednesday.
After a number of women spotted their morphed photos being circulated on the social media, a complaint was lodged against Kozhikode’s Vadakara town situated Sadayam Shoot & Edit.
The local police arrested two owners of after registering a case against them and also seized several incriminating documents against them. The arrested studio owners have been identified as Dineshan and Satheeshan.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has formed a special investigation team to investigate the matter.
While replying a query in the Kerala Assembly, CM Vijayan said the police were searching for another accused Bibeesh who was also involved in this crime.
Kerala State Women’s Commission had also initiated a case in the matter, directing the police to set up a special team to investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, the news about the studio created a stir in the locality as the families who had hired these photographers were anxious after the morphing incident came to light, the report said.
The report stated there are images of more than 40,000 women, clicked during functions like weddings and copied as well as stored in a hard disc.
