The Hush Post: Among lakhs of others, a nine-year-old Australian boy has become a fan of Kerala fishermen, who were the only silver lining during the recent Kerala floods. After the rains battered the entire state, the fishermen rose to the occasion.
They worked day and night to rescue people stuck in the waters. The news of their heroics reached across the world.
That is when a 9-year-old boy in Australia was asked in a class: “If you could spend one day with a famous person, who would it be and why?”
And he didn’t think twice in writing. He wanted to meet “Kerala fishermen.”
A Facebook post shared by Koshy Vaidyan from Aberdeen, Australia, a nine-year-old Australian boy’s essay surprised all. He said he wanted to meet Kerala fishermen. The post on Facebook got more than 5,000 shares.
In the essay, the boy wrote that he would want to learn how to be “a humble human.” He cited examples of how the Kerala fishermen saved people during floods risking their own lives. They also offered their meals to the people they were rescuing — and asked for nothing except prayers in return.
