The police in Florida foiled an attempt by two schoolgirls to kill their classmates, eat their flesh and drink blood. The girls wanted to kill themselves too after committing this gory crime, a report said.
The two girls, who are middle-school students in central Florida, also brought knives to their school for this. They wanted to kill their classmates, eat their flesh and drink their blood before killing themselves, the report said.
The accused girls are 11 and 12 year-olds. They were carrying knives to Bartow Middle School. But before they could do anything, the authorities caught them. The Bartow Police Department issued arrest affidavits released to announce their arrest. Luckily the girls could not harm anyone.
The duo faces charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and possession of a weapon at school, among other charges. The prosecutors will decide whether to charge the girls as juveniles or adults. Deputy Police Chief Bryan Dorman issued an email to this effect.
The cops sent the girls to a juvenile detention facility after arresting them. Bartow is situated in Florida’s citrus belt.
The police said the girls planned to stake out a school bathroom and wait for smaller students to enter. They wanted to cut their victims’ throats, cut up their bodies, eat their flesh and drink the blood, police said.
The girls had then planned to stab themselves to death.
“The plan was to kill at least 1 student but were hoping to kill anywhere from 15-25 students. Killing all of these students was in hopes it would make them worse sinners ensuring that after they committed suicide … (they) would go to hell so they could be with Satan,” the police affidavit said.
The cops said the girls hatched the plot after watching “scary” movies during the weekend.
The school authorities searched for them when they did not show up for their classes. Thus the authorities were able to foil the alleged plot. The administrators found them in a bathroom stall. Then they found the girls in possession of four knives, a pizza cutter and a knife sharpener, cops said.
Polk County Schools’ officials plan to deploy extra police officers and guidance counsellors at the school this week.
“School staff quickly responded to a report of suspicious behaviour. The students were taken into custody, and no one was harmed,” the school officials tweeted.
