The Hush Post: Fifty seven people were killed and 119 wounded as a suicide bomber blew himself up in Kabul.
The interior ministry has confirmed the toll which could rise, and the Islamic State group has confirmed that it was their handiwork.
The place where the incident took place is a heavily Shiite-dominated place in the west of Kabul. It was being used by people to enroll for national identification certificates. These certificates are required to sign up to vote.
Passport-sized photos lay scattered amid broken glass and papers and pools of blood.
“This senseless violence shows the cowardice and inhumanity of the enemies of democracy and peace in Afghanistan,” US ambassador John Bass wrote on Twitter. The bombing has also been condoned by NATO.
The last attack in Kabul was recently o March 21 when an Isis suicide bomber blew himself killing 33 people.
