An Air India plane which took off from New Delhi struck a building at Stockholm’s Arlanda airport. Fortunately, its wingtip dented into the building as it taxied on the runway on Wednesday. The Boeing aircraft was carrying 179 passengers and all of them were safe.
“All the passengers could disembark from the plane on a mobile staircase and thereafter enter the terminal,” police wrote in a statement.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known. It occurred at 5:45 pm (1645 GMT), about 50 meters from Terminal 5, the main terminal for international flights.
Pictures showed the Boeing aircraft on the runway with the tip of its left wing stuck in the side of a building.
