It’s a ‘ghar-ghar ki kahani’ and it’s from the Buckingham Palace this time. The grandsons of Queen Elizabeth II – Prince William and Prince Harry are set to part ways. The Duke of Cambridge (William) and the Duke of Sussex (Harry) will soon split their royal households. The exercise is reportedly aimed at ‘easing tension between them and their wives’.
The two brothers will divide the household and create separate courts before the birth of Harry and Meghan’s first child this spring. The change also means that their staff will divide.
Until now they operated via what was referred to as a joint royal household but now they will carve out more distinctive role for themselves.
In recent months the royal bahus – Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton – have not been on the best of terms. Besides it is claimed that Meghan was dictatorial towards Palace staff, earning her the nickname Duchess Difficult. Strains were also said to exist between the brothers themselves.
Harry and Meghan have been living next door to William and Kate at Nottingham Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace in London. However, the two will soon be moving to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor estate. The couple tied the knot in May 2018, in front of the royal family and their famous friends.
