The Hush Post: Prime Minister Narendra Modi may have given a cold-shoulder to Justin Trudeau, but the Canadian premier has ‘Indianised’ or rather ‘Hinduised‘ himself in the last five days he has been here. From performing rituals in the temples to wearing traditional Indian clothes, he has done it all and so has his family.  After his visit to Golden Temple in Amritsar, and later Gujarat, Trudeau today met Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan in Mumbai.

Trudeau can be seen in a sherwani, while his wife wore an off-white sari. Trudeau also met and was photographed with Shahrukh and Aamir Khan. Before this he was in Gujarat where he visited the Akshardham Temple and also Sabarmati Ashram in Gandhinagar. In his tweet, Trudeau wrote, “Morning at Sabarmati ashram where Gandhi lived from 1917 to 1930. Fascinating and beautiful place of peace.” The Trudeau family also prayed and performed the Hindu rituals done at Akshardham temple and was seen photographed with the priests of the temple.

Earlier, there was a controversy regarding not following the protocol for Trudeau’s visit to India. The controversy began after Canadian journalist Candice Malcolm raised the issue in Toronto Star about the kind of treatment meted out to Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on his official visit. However, he and his family are having a blast here.
