In a bizarre incident, a man divorced his wife as Google Street View showed the latter cuddling with another man.
A man from Peru caught his wife cuddling with another man on Google Street View. It led him to divorce his wife, a report said.
A Daily Mail report said the man was searching for a way to a popular bridge in Peru’s capital Lima. He was searching it on Google Maps’ Google Street View. While doing so he stumbled upon a man and woman sitting on a bench on the side of the road. The photo showed the woman sitting on a bench, and the man lying with his head in the woman’s lap. Noticing some similarity in the woman’s clothes, the man zoomed in, realizing it was his wife with another man. Interestingly, the photo was quite old, having been captured for street mapping in 2013.
When the man confronted his wife with the evidence, the latter admitted to having an affair in the past. The couple later divorced, the report said.
When he shared photo(s) on social media, his friends chastised his ex-wife for being dishonest saying “it’s a small world”. It is, indeed, the report said.
There’s no denying that the technology has made our lives easier. The technology has also become so pervasive that there’s no hiding from it. From our online searches (Google Search) to the places we visit (Google Maps), it constantly tracks everything. Sometimes, these all-seeing digital services reveal information that one could’ve possibly never found out, in the most peculiar of ways.
In case you don’t know, Google Street View provides panoramic 3D views of hundreds of streets from across the world. These images can be navigated using the mouse and touch gestures, the report said.
