The Hush Post: A video has surfaced on social media that shows a Punjabi origin youth Ramneek Singh Bains’ last moments after which he had died after jumping in America’s Tahoe Lake last week.
The 53-second-long video shows three Sikh youths in playful mood in a motorboat and they enjoying to the tune of Punjabi number “Jutti Shareek Di” by Punjabi singer Upkar Sandhu. The song’s words go “Ho koi bari hoke, sidha khet aya hon ae, Aunde ne hi siron bhaar laya hona ae” (Somebody must have directly come to the field after getting released from the jail and he must have taken revenge).
The video shows that while enjoying on the loud music of this song being played in the motorboat, the other two youths dare Ramneek Singh Bains to jump into the lake. They repeatedly keep telling him to jump and then say the same in Punjabi “Chhaal maar chhaal, go” (jump into water, jump. Go) Accepting their challenge, Ramneek jumps into the water. As soon as Ramneek jumps into the lake, the other two start kidding that “Saada banda dub geya” (our man has drowned).
This Punjabi origin youth from Yuba City in America was missing since August 4 when he had jumped from a boat near the south end Tahoe Lake. According to the officials, next day (August 5) the body of Ramneek Singh Bains was found about a quarter mile off the shore between Tahoe Meadows and Lakeside Marina.
