Sanskari Americans: Woman kicked out of Mall for wearing very short shorts

“I told them I have bigger thighs and it’s just too hot for jeans that I can’t help they ride up a bit.”

The Hush Post: This kind of story would normally originate from the conservative backwaters of India or South Asia. But strangely it comes from upmarket Alabama in the US.

A woman from Alabama has alleged that she was kicked out of a mall because she was wearing shorts.Alabama

“I was literally harassed and kicked out of the Bellair Mall in Mobile, AL because of what I’m wearing,” Gabrielle Wilson wrote on Facebook Wednesday. “Apparently, grown men couldn’t contain themselves so I get kicked out. Security officer J. Mathis was looking at my ass and it was a problem. Don’t look at my ass…?”

She said that the security guard and head of security were extremely rude and completely unprofessional about the situation.

“I told them I have bigger thighs and it’s just too hot for jeans that I can’t help they ride up a bit,” she explained. “It doesn’t bother me then it shouldn’t bother you. They went as far as to threaten to call a police officer. From what I have seen today everyone had shorts shorties on. I mean come on its August and 100 degree outside.”

“This whole incident has made me embarrassed,” she wrote. A spokesperson for the mall released a statement: “Given the high degree of importance we place on maintaining a family-friendly shopping environment, out policy requires all of our customers to dress in a manner that reflects our code of conduct. Anyone who violates this policy will be asked to change or to leave the premises.”
