Durga Ashthmi is just approaching and people who haven’t fasted the entire week are gearing up for the one last or two. Restaurants have been tapping the Indian market by promoting these Navratra delicacies.

There are many places in the city where you can get the best Navratra food such as Sagar Ratna, Kochi Express and Yellow Chilly.

But the same dishes can be prepared with in a few minutes at home too. So here are some of them:

Sabudana Khichdi

If you love spicy, then sabudana khichdi is the best to satisfy your taste buds. Put in your favorite vegetables and pour over some yummy masala. This will surely become your healthiest and tasty meal in Navratras.

 

 

Pakoras

If you are on fast, still want to enjoy your favorite hot tea with pakodas, go ahead. Make yummy pakoras with kuttu ka atta and potatoes.

 

Alloo Chaat

Working in the office and hungry? Alloo Chaat is the best way to get over your hunger pangs. Take some boiled potatoes and sprinkle some salt and tamarind sauce. Relish this delicious tangy flavor.

 

 

 

Fox Nut (Makhana) Kheer

Now let’s talk about something sweet. We all love kheer, so let’s enjoy the same delicacy during Navratra as well. Make the regular kheer and then just add fox nut (makhanas) to it.

Arbi Kofta 

Yes we all have had the lauki kofta but lets make some arbi kofta this time. Either you can have it as a snack or you can make it like a main course and eat it with Navratra roti.

Kela Kebab

Just like potato kebab make this super tasty banana kebab. The point which need to be kept in mind is that the banana should be a little ripe.

Alloo curry

Sweet Potato(shakarkandi)
