Honda has launched the 2019 CBR 650R at a price of Rs 7.70 lakh (ex-showroom) with new color schemes and updates in the middle weight sports motorcycle category. The motorcycle will be available at Honda’s premium Wing World dealerships. The two new colors are, the Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
The 2019 Honda CBR 650R is powered by in-line four, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 649 cc engine that’s produces 88 bhp and 60 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. CBR 650R looks similar to the flagship supersport Honda CBR 1000RR Fireblade which means the company has tried to make it look similar to the supersport motorcycle and this will definitely go in its favor when it competes with the likes of Kawasaki, Yamaha and Suzuki.
The new underbelly exhaust, muscular fuel tank and the Fireblade inspired LED headlamp (twin) makes the motorcycle look aggressive. It all blacked out engine sits in a diamond type frame and the floating tail lamp unit gives it a distinct look in the middle weight sport motorcycle category. Honda CBR 650R gets a 41 mm Showa USD forks suspension in the front and monoshock at the rear.
It gets a dual-channel ABS unit with 310 mm double discs at the front. Further the 240 mm single disc at the rear gives confidence to rider. Honda Selectable Torque Control System (HSTCS) system adds to the already amazing riding experience of CBR 650R.
