Honda Cars India is all set to launch the all New Honda Civic on March 7. The car will compete against its old rivals, Skoda Octavia and Hyundia Elantra.
Honda Cars India has opened the bookings for the car at all their dealerships all across India. According to the company, the number of bookings they have received so far, are much higher than their expectations.
Rajesh Goel, Senior VP & Director, Honda Cars India Ltd said, “Since this has been a highly anticipated launch in India, we are receiving an outstanding response during the pre-launch phase.”
The car is expected to be priced between Rs 18-22 lakh. This time Honda Civic will come in both diesel and petrol variants. The 1.6-litre diesel engine comes from Honda CR-V and churns out 118 bhp of power and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.8-litre, four-cylinder, i-VTEC petrol engine produces 139 bhp of power and is mated to a CVT gearbox.
The car comes with lots of new features like 17.7 cm display with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, Remote Engine Start and Ivory Leather Seats. Moreover, it has LED Head Lamps with LED DRLs, LED Fog Lamps and LED Tail Lamps which gives the machine an elegant look. The Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Brake Hold Lane-Watch Camera on ORVM (Passenger Side), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and 6 Airbags adds on to the safety features of car.
