Kia Motors showcased two of their world-class cars in a design tour (road show) in Ludhiana recently. World’s eighth largest automaker company is all set to launch the much-awaited mid-SUV – SP2i in 2019. Their aim is to be amongst the top five automakers in India within three years. With a target of launching a new car every six months in India, Kia is planning to expand its portfolio to at least 5 vehicles by 2021.
Kia Motors made its debut in India at the Auto Expo 2018 and showcased its 16 top global line-up along with SP2i, the most liked car at the Auto expo. However, the upcoming car SP2i will roll out in the second half of 2019 and will be equipped with world-class quality, finest design and state-of-art technology. Furthermore, the car carries Kia’s famous and the most distinctive feature- ‘Tiger Nose Grille’, designed by Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer. The car truly fits into the ‘Make in India’ segment and combines everything Indian customers’ desire in a car.
The brand focuses on world-class vehicle maintenance and repair services to create strong foundations in the country. Since its entry in the Indian market, Kia Motors has focused on developing a strong aftersales and network presence. Also, Kia Motors has introduced mobile workshop, capable of carrying out regular maintenance jobs for today’s tech savvy Indian customers. Conceptualised under customer centric identity of “KIA Promise to Care”, this workshop will maximise the reach for Kia in India.
On January 29, 2019, Kia Motors India marked the start of trial operations in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India Shin Bongkil.
During the ceremony, Kia also showcased the camouflaged production version of its first car for India- SP2i. This added to the excitement of Kia arrival in India and reiterated the brand’s philosophy of “Power to Surprise”.
