Tata Motors has announced a hike of up to Rs. 25,000 across the range of their cars. The prices will come into effect from 1 April 2019. The car maker has increased the prices by Rs. 40,000 in the month of January 2019. It is their second price hike in under three months’ time. Citing rising input costs and external economic factors as the reason, the company took this decision.
However, you will have to shell out more if you are planning to buy a Tata car.
Speaking about the price hike, Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, “The changing market conditions, rising input costs and various external economic factors have compelled us to consider this price increase. We are confident of maintaining our growth trajectory in the coming months on the back of our robust portfolio consisting of segment-leading products like Tiago, Hexa, Tigor, Nexon, and Harrier.”
The company is also aggressively working on their Electric Vehicle (EV) Project. Apart from the EV, the company is also working on their premium hardback of the Altorz and a 7- seater version of the Tata Harrier.
Hard work of the company pays off as their car Tata Tigor EV has been selected as the “Electric Car of the Year” by ASSOCHAM India.
