The Hush Post: In a shocking incident, reminiscent of a typical bollywood drama, a youth shot himself outside the house of his girlfriend to ‘prove his love for her’. 30-yr-old Atul Lokhande wanted to marry his girlfriend but the girl’s father was opposed to it.
The incident took place in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday night when Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leader, Atul Lokhande had gone to meet his girlfriend’s father.
It is reported that Atul entered into an argument with the girl’s father following which he came out furiously and shot himself in the temple. Lokhande was rushed to a nearby hospital and is said to be in a critical condition.
“Let me marry her if I survive”
Before taking the extreme step, Atul Lokhande, in his Facebook post said, “Her father asked me to visit their home (in Shivaji Nagar area) in the evening and kill myself to prove that I love her daughter. If I survived, he would let me marry her. I am at her residence, take me away from here (if I die). If I survive, I will come back on my own”, reported NDTV.com
“I can’t forget you, will love you forever”
For his 27-yr-old girlfriend, Lokhande wrote, “I won’t be able to live without you, therefore, I am going,” adding, “Many people fall in love, but no one love you like I do… I can’t forget you…Truth is that I don’t want to forget you… Because you are mine. I will love you forever… Till I die and even after that… All lovers give their heart, but only I will give my life.”
“The more inter-caste and inter-religious marriages happen, the more powerful India will become,” added Lokhande.
Atul Lokhande also posted around 40 photographs of himself with his alleged girlfriend and claimed that they were going around for the past 13 years and had purportedly got married.
Meanwhile, the Bhopal police have registered a case in this regard and have initiated a probe.
