In a bizarre gimmick in the 21st century, a BJP leader in Indore arrived in a chariot at a polling booth in Indore today. Madhya Pradesh is voting for its Vidhan Sabha today, along with Mizoram. The BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya was accompanied by his wife on the chariot and a BJP leader.
Meanwhile, one Election Commission official in Guna, and two in Indore died due to cardiac arrest at polling booths.
It is a tough battle in Madhya Pradesh for the BJP which is facing anti-incumbency after 15 years of rule. Congress has not declared its chief ministerial candidate though Jytoiraditya Scindia and Kamal Nath seem to be the front-runners.
Results will be announced for the 230 assembly seats on December 12 along with other states.
