A schoolgirl was allegedly killed in Bijapuri village of Jabalpur district by her male friend as she refused to let him kiss. The accused was arrested on September 7 and the incident happened on September 5.
According to the police reports, the body of the girl was found in the jungles of Bijapuri village. The body had an injury mark on the back of the head. Also, the school bag of the deceased was found from the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Pinky Dhurvey who is a resident of Kutargondi police station. She was a student of class 12 and she had left home for school on Thursday morning.
On investigation, the police found that 19-year-old Raman Singh Sayyam was close to the deceased girl. On being questioned, he admitted to the crime and informed that he went to the jungles of Bijapur village with the girl after school hours.
The police informed that later he tried to kiss the girl but she pushed him away. In a fit of rage, he pushed the girl away and she fell down on a stone and went motionless. The accused said that he was scared after he found her dead. After that, he covered her body with leaves and ran away.
The police said that the accused has been arrested and booked under section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code.
