The Hush Post: At least 30 people were feared killed when a bus fell 400 to 500 feet deep into a gorge in Raigad district of Maharashtra on Saturday afternoon. The bus was reportedly ferrying 35 people.
The exact number of casualties was not clear till the filing of this report as rescue operations were still underway, but the number of deaths is likely to be high as the bus had fallen about 400-500 feet into a gorge, a report said.
The bus belonged to Dapoli Krushi Vidyapeeth, an agricultural University, and it was heading to Mahabaleshwar from Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
The police officials of Raigad said that several rescue teams from Mahabaleshwar had reached the spot for the relief and rescue work.
