After interviewing PM Narendra Modi, Akshay Kumar has been continuously making headlines after he didn’t turn up to vote on April 29 in Mumbai. This has left many questions about his citizenship unanswered. Even at the screening of Blank, the actor dodged the question by saying “Chaliye Beta” when a reporter asked about why he did not vote.
However, yesterday he posted a long message on Twitter about his Canadian citizenship and his love for India.
But soon after his post, the netizens found out his old video in Canada where can be heard saying, “Toronto is my home”. After all, Akshay is a Canadian citizen, it has now come to light. The video has gone viral now and Akshay Kumar is again trolled for being a “fake nationalist”. It can be clearly heard in the video that addressing the crowd he is saying, “I must tell you one thing, this is my home. Toronto is my home. After I retire from the industry, I am going to stay here.”
