Cab driver from Haryana arrested for stalking Ekta Kapoor

The Mumbai Police has arrested a cab driver for stalking TV and film producer Ekta Kapoor. According to reports, this 32-year-old cab driver stalked Ekta Kapoor more than 30 times last month.

The accused has been identified as Sudhir Rajendra Singh from Haryana. As some reports in media suggest, he wanted to be friends with Ekta Kapoor and wanted to meet her for a job. Initially, she ignored the cab driver, but he chased her throughout the city.

He followed Ekta Kapoor when she reached a temple recently. There also, he tried to talk to her but Ekta’s personal guards stopped him. Apparently, he had taken the membership of the same gym where Ekta goes for workout. Often he was spotted near the gym. On Saturday, Singh tried to go inside the gym the moment he saw Ekta going inside. But then again, the guards stopped him. After this incidence, an official complaint was registered for stalking and he was arrested on Monday.

A complaint has been filed against him under section 354(D) of the Indian Penal Code. Sudhir was traced with the help of CCTV footages from Andheri West Veera Desai Road.
