Balaji Telefilms producer, 43-year-old Ekta Kapoor, became a mother on January 27. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the producer welcomed a son who was born via surrogacy. The baby boy is healthy and will be home soon. Ekta’s father and actor Jeetendra Kapoor would be on cloud nine after becoming a grandpa for the second time. However, Ekta herself has not shared the good news on social media.
It seems Ekta followed the footsteps of her brother Tusshar Kapoor. Three years ago, Tushhar Kapoor became father to a baby, Laksshya Kapoor, who was also born via surrogacy.
Earlier, in an interview with The Indian Express, he had said, “I was thinking about it for some time before I finally had the baby because I was running out of time. I am not married yet and may or may not in the future. I felt the time was running out fast and I couldn’t wait to have a family, have a child. That’s something I won’t be able to do as I grow older. I can always get married. So, I decided to become a single parent.”
