The 11th season of one of the most popular singing reality shows Indian Idol has been started. In a recent episode, Azmat Hussain gave auditions who had won SaReGaMaPa Li’l Champs eight years ago.

However, judge Neha Kakkar recognized him as he walked on the stage. During his conversation with the judges, he unfolded some of the dark secrets of his life since he won the reality show.

He revealed that his life changed after his title win but in a wrong way as he went through a phase of drug addiction. A promo video of the episode has been uploaded by Sony TV. When Neha recognized him, the two other judges Anu Malik and Vishal Dadlani asked her how she knows him. Answering them, she said that she saw him on a reality show several years back.

Azhmat revealed that he did many shows after winning the show but still he was unable to make the end meet. Due to his poor financial conditions, he again opted for singing but his voice started to change with age. Therefore, people started discouraging him and said that he did not sing well anymore.

“I quit singing for 3 years. I did not know what to do. I got into a wrong company and I became a drug addict,” said Azhmat.
