The Hush Post: In a bizarre incident a flier tried to enter the cockpit of a Mumbai-Kolkata IndiGo flight. The passenger said he wanted to charge his mobile phone. The flight crew offloaded the passenger on these charges.

Then, the airline’s security staff took the passenger to the Mumbai Airport police station for further action, a report said.

The police then let off the flier after questioning, the report said.

“While an IndiGo aircraft was on the ground, an unruly passenger tried to enter the cockpit saying that his mobile needs to be charged,” the airline reportedly said.

Following standard operating procedures, the captain operating 6E-395 flight from Mumbai to Kolkata (September 24, 2018) had initiated the offloading of the passenger on grounds of a security violation. The prescribed rules prohibit entry into the cockpit, IndiGo said in a statement.

Similarly, on Monday, a New Delhi-Patna GoAir flight’s passenger tried to open the rear door of the aircraft in mid-air. Some fellow passengers raised an alarm, after which the flight’s crew intercepted the man.

On arrival at Patna, the crew handed him over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for further investigation.
