‘PM Narendra Modi’ the upcoming biopic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has run into controversy before its release. The film traces the journey from his childhood to adolescence to becoming the prime minister of the country.
The trailer of the movie was released on Friday and gone viral on social media. It has garnered 11,922,008 views till the report was written. However, the credits at the end of the trailer have generated a fresh controversy. The credits show that the lyrics for the movie have been written by Javed Akhtar, Prasoon Joshi, Sameer and others.
Reacting to his name in the credits, Javed Akhtar tweeted, “Am shocked to find my name on the poster of this film. Have not written any songs for it.” The veteran Bollywood writer also shared a picture of the credits alongside the tweet.
Earlier too Akhtar had denied writing songs for the film.

Vivek Anand Oberoi plays PM Modi in the film which captures all the major events of PM’s life. It also goes on to explore his tenure as the chief minister of Gujarat.
Speaking to media persons, Oberoi said, “I consider Modiji as an inspiration. Modiji is one of those personalities… if he decides something, if he is clear with his vision, he doesn’t fear to achieve his goal. It is very inspirational.”
The trailer, which was released a day before Holi, also sparked a meme fest online.
