A television journalist from Mumbai has filed a complaint against Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his associates on a charge of assault, threat, and others.

The Maharashtra head of JK24x7 news channel, Ashok S Pandey has filed a criminal case against Salman Khan before the 10th Court, Andheri, his assistant Vijay and another unknown person, said Neeraj Gupta, his (Ashok S Pandey’s) lawyer.

Guta reportedly said, “The matter will come up for hearing on July 12. At that time, the court will decide whether the police will be directed to conduct an investigation, or issue summons to the accused.”

In the complaint, Pandey said that on April 24, he was driving from Juhu to Kandivali in his car. His cameraman Sayyed Irfan was with him when they saw Salman Khan cycling on the road with his two aides along with him. After that, Pandey asked for permission to film Khan from his aides, which they agreed to. But when Salman noticed that they were shooting, his aides suddenly jumped onto Pandey’s car and started assaulting him.

Further, he alleged that Salman Khan joined his aides, assaulted him, snatched his phone and tried to delete the important date from it.

When Pandey started going towards DN Nagar police station to file a complaint, Salman allegedly abused him and tried to grab his phone.

Gupta said, “Later Pandey filed his complaint, but after two months, the officers at DN police station disposed-off it, saying there was no offense in the matter.”

Also, Pandey said that one of Salman’s representative, Zohaib admitted to the misbehaviour. Then he requested to settle the matter but he refused for any settlement.

Pandey has requested the court to direct the police for a detailed inquiry in the matter and take suitable action against the accused.
