Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan, are planning to collaborate and remake 1982 blockbuster “Satte Pe Satta”. Earlier this February, both made an announcement that they will collaborate for some action-comedy film though they did not reveal the name of the movie.
Raj N Sippy had directed “Satte Pe Satta” with Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in the lead roles.
Sources report both of them are working on the legal part so that the remake of the movie is possible. “The tussle for the rights to remake “Satte Pe Satta” has been in court for a couple of years now.”
Adding further, the sources said, “Rohit is sure that he won’t start this project until he acquires the rights. That’s the process he has always followed for remaking any movie. Of course, there will be some changes according to Rohit’s way of presentation. But the things will be clearer after the rights issue gets resolved.”
In February, Farah had confirmed the news of her directing a film for Rohit Shetty. “Sometimes, the universe conspires to give you what you didn’t even imagine. Together with Rohit, who I genuinely love as a brother and whose work ethic I respect and share, I can only promise a mother of all entertainers! I can’t wait to say ‘Roll, Camera….’ For this one.”, said Farah Khan.
Adding to it, Rohit Shetty said, “It is a privilege for my banner to have Farah direct a film for us, as she is talented and hard-working. It will definitely be a wonderful association. I can’t wait to start work with this powerhouse of talent. I am looking forward to it.”
