Even as Uddhav Thackeray’s name has been proposed as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra by Shiv Sena and even National Congress Party has endorsed his name, Uddhav has for now rejected the idea and said that some other Shiv Sainik should be made the CM.

This throws up the possibility of Sanjay Raut becoming the Maharashtra CM.

Uddhav’s son, Aditya Thackeray is going to be the Education Minister of Maharashtra. Earlier, there were talks that he might be the Deputy Chief Minister.

Apart from it, already three important portfolios have been decided by the three parties mutually. The Congress party wants the revenue department while NCP will be happy with home ministry and it has been agreed upon by all the three parties. Shiv Sena has decided to keep the  Urban Development ministry with them.

Also broadly, the Shiv Sena has floated the idea of going with 16-14-12 formula, which would mean that Sena will have 16 ministers, NCP will have 14 and Congress will get 12 ministries.
