Uri actor Navtej Hundal passes away in Mumbai

Famous Bollywood actor Navtej Hundal breathed his last this Monday. He was last seen on big screens as home minister in Aditya Dhar’s “Uri: The Surgical Strike”. This movie was released in January and featured Vicky Kaushal in the lead role.

Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) shared this sad news on their official twitter handle. The tweet read, “#CINTAA expresses its deepest condolence on the demise of Shri Navtej Hundal. May his soul rest in peace. The cremation is at Oshiwara Crematorium, Relief Road, Prakash Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jogeshwari (W) at 11 am.”

Navtej is survived by his wife Neelam and two daughters. Avantika Hundal, one of his daughter, is playing the role of Mihika in the popular daily soap “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein”” featuring Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi.

Navtej also conducted acting classes apart from working in movies. He has been a part of many successful movies such as “Khalnayak” (1993) and “Tere Mere Sapne” (1996).
