Vivek Oberoi to play PM Modi in a film; first look out on January 7

Mary Kom Director, Omung Kumar is now all set to direct a biopic on the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. However, the big revelation, is that actor Vivek Oberoi will play the role of PM Modi. The first look will be revealed on January 7. The team has been working on this biopic for three years.

According to a media report, the posters of the film will be released on January 7 in 23 languages. The posters will be launched by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. The event will take place at the Garware Club House in South Mumbai. The project has been financed by Sandip Singh.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:

Omung’s last film was Sanjay Dutt and Aditi Rao Hydari starrer Bhoomi. It seems like 2019 belongs to biopics. The Accidental Prime Minister, Super 30, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and Thackeray are all set to hit the screens.

On the work front, Vivek was last seen in Bank Chor with Riteish Deshmukh. But, the movie couldn’t do wonders at the box office. However, he made his Tamil debut with Ajith starrer Vivegam. He was also seen in Malayalam film Lucifer and Kannada film Rustum.
