In Bihar, a man was allegedly stabbed to death by a co-passenger after they got into an argument over a seat in general coach of the Pawan Express.
The incident took place while the train was heading towards Chappra Junction. The accused who boarded the train from Muzaffarpur, forcefully asked the deceased for a seat in the coach.
The deceased hailed from Dharbhanga in Bihar and was travelling to Mumbai along with his brother and a relative.
According to the GRP Chappra, “They had a tussle over a seat and the victim was stabbed near the toilet in the train.”

During the investigation the brother of the deceased said that after the argument between the two, police took hold of the accused for creating nuisance.
However, they released him after crossing the Hajipur station.
Later, some co-passenger spotted the victim’s body lying near the toilet inside the train, the brother of the victim said.
