The Hush Post: Wearing a gas mask and carrying an AR-15 assault rifle, smoke grenades and several magazines of ammunition, a gunman deliberately set off the fire alarm so youngsters would leave their classrooms in a school in Florida. He killed twelve children inside the building, two were shot dead outside, one in the street and two more died in hospital. The attack began at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, northwest of Fort Lauderdale, just before 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon, local time.
The suspected gunman, a 19-year-old, who was a former student of the school and had been previously expelled for disciplinary reasons, was arrested off the campus. It is believed to be the third deadliest school shooting in US history, after Sandy Hook Elementary school in 2012 and the Bath School disaster in 1927. A video has emerged that shows students cowering in a classroom as loud rapid shots are heard nearby. The school has around 3,000 students.
