21 PERSONS INJURED AS BUS OVERTURNS IN NURPUR ON MANDI-PATHANKOT HIGHWAY

The Hush Post: A bus loaded with passengers met with an accident on the Pathankot-Mandi national highway 154. The accident took place when the bus while trying to overtake a truck overturned near Doctor’s Residence Colony, Nurpur. The bus ferrying 21 passengers was on its way from Dharamsala to Pathankot. All the 21 passengers have received minor and major injuries, however, no casualty has been reported. Among the injured, four including the driver are serious and have been referred after a first aid to Tanda Medical College while the remaining were given first aid at the Civil Hospital, Nurpur.

Those who have been injured have been identified as Nutan, Maninder Singh, Harsh, Brij Lal and Santosh Kumari, Ritu Devi, Anshu, Vishav Kumar, Pankaj, Ishwar Chand, Anil Sharma, Ratto Ram, Jeevan Lal, Anil Mahajan, Shimla Devi, Ramesh Kumar, Bishambar Lal, Mamta Devi, Nitin and Krishna Devi. The government has announced a compensation of Rs 2,000 to the injured and Rs. 3,000 to those who have received severe injuries.
