CONG WINS 45 SEATS IN PATIALA, 27 IN AMRITSAR AND IS NEAR THE FINISH LINE IN JALANDHAR

The Hush Post: Congress has won 66 out of 80, the results to which have been declared in Jalandhar Municipal Corporation polls. In Patiala 45 seats have gone to Congress, while Akali-BJP and AAP could not open their account. In Amritsar, Congress won 27 seats while Akali BJP have won seven seats and two seats went to Independent candidates. In Ludhiana district, Mullanpur Dakhan panchayat elections all the seats went to Congress. Among the results available, Congress has won 46 seats, BJP has won 6, Akali Dal 4, AAP one and two seats have gone to the Independents. In another seven seats the counting is still on. In Jalandhar West, results to 11 wards have been declared and Congress has won 8 of those seats. In Jalandhar North, six results have been declared and Congress has got five of those seats while one has gone to Aheir kalis. In Central, out of a total of eight seven have gone to Congress while one to BJP.

Ward No 8 – JP Shamsher Singh wins (Cong)

Ward No 9 – Mandeep Kaur wins (Cong)

Ward No 10 – Mandeep Kumar (Cong)

Ward No 11 – Praveena Sharma (Cong)

Ward No 12 – Jagdish Kumar Gag (Cong)

Ward No 16 – Manmohan Singh Raju (Cong)

Ward No 56 — Pallani Appan (Cong)

Ward No 17 – Shaily Khanna (BJP) 

Earlier, there were allegation and counter allegations of violence and booth capturing in today’s local bodies’ elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party had alleged the Congress of booth-capturing in many places in Patiala.
