The Hush Post: Haryana DGP BS Sandhu fears Haryana  Roadways’ buses as he thinks the drivers drive them as if flying a ‘Boeing’ aircraft. Sandhu was speaking during the 5th state-level road safety quiz competition held at the police auditorium in Panchkula.  Sandhu said that his duty warrants frequent travelling on Highways and he feared Haryana Roadways buses as well as the police vehicles plying there as they are driven like a Boeing by the drivers. Both are driven at excessive speeds and can anytime result in an accident, he said.

Sandhu, however, was countered by Haryana Transport Minister Krishna Lal Panwar who was also present at the event. If the Roadways buses are driven like this, then police can always challan them, Panwar retorted.

The transport minister further said that Roadways drivers drive safely and if a report is prepared, then the number of bus accidents will turn out to be very less. Panwar also said that the state government was mulling to install buses with speed governors.
