DUE TO SMELLY SOCKS IN A TOURIST BUS, CASE REGISTERED AGAINST A PASSENGER IN DHARAMSALA BOUND BUS

The Hush Post: Smellysocks of a passenger agitated another one, a tourist from Patna travelling in an air-conditioned bus and subsequently the two got into an argument. Prakash Kumar, a passenger in the Volvo bus, removed his socks as bus neared Kangra. Upset by the smell from his socks, the other passengers asked him to pack or throw them, however, Prakash refused to do so. This resulted in an argument between him and other passengers. The driver and conductor had to stop the bus to resolve the issue.
Ultimately, the passengers asked the driver to drive the bus to a police station in Una and handed over Kumar to the police for causing inconvenience to them due to his stinking socks. Acting on their complaint, the police registered a case of causing a public nuisance against Kumar. He was later released on surety by the Sub Divisional Magistrate Amb, Una.

A case was registered against Kumar on the complaint of his co-passengers. He said Kumar had created ruckus at the police station, too.
