Haryana pvt schools to shut on January 30 protesting principal’s murder in Yamunanagar

The Hush Post: As a mark of protest against the recent murder of a school principal in Yamunanagar, all the private schools in Haryana will remain closed on January 30. The schools are demanding that the state government frame rules for the security of school teaching as well as non-teaching staff like it has done for the safety of children.

Federation of Private School Association, Haryana Progressive Schools Conference, Yamunanagar Private School Association and Panchkula Public School Association and various other schools associations will on January 30 submit memoranda in this regard to the chief minister through the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts.

Haryana Private School Association president Satyawan Kundu stated that a state-wide campaign will be launched demanding stringent punishment for the boy who had shot down his school principal in Yamunanagar.  If the government shows complicity or goes soft on the matter, then we will be forced to launch a stir, he said.

Meanwhile, Federation of Private School Association president Kulbhushan Sharma expressed his anguish stating that the education minister didn’t even bother to condemn the incident.
