High level CBI team questions two accused in the Gudiya rape case

Angry mob came out on the national highway 22, days after the Gudiya rape case.

Shimla, The Hush Post: A DIG and SP of the CBI visited the crime site in the Gudia rape and murder case on Tuesday. They visited the place at Halaila in Kotkhai where the dead body was found and questioned two of the accused, Raju and Subhash, who are out on bail. The two were questioned at the Bankufar Rest House of the Forest Department where the team reached at about noon. The team was at the site for about two hours.  They interacted with the locals on the basis of mobile phone locations on that particular day. One of the CBI officials also visited the school where the girl studied.  A few other locals were also questioned. They were asked details of their identity, why and where were they on the ill-fated day near the Dandi jungles.Another CBI team is already stationed at Kotkhai. The next hearing of the case in the HP High Court is slated for December 20. The entire inquiry report has to be submitted in the court on that day. The body of the girl was found in the Dandi jungles on July 6. The crisis reached a tipping point when the police showed disinterest in the investigations earlier as did the Himachal government. The Centre also remained unmoved by the ‘unheard of’ rape and murder in this hill state although locals believed it was no less horrible than Nirbhaya rape case.
