JAGRAON POLICE RECOVER 65 STOLEN MOTORCYCLES FROM A GANG WHO DID HIGHWAY ROBBERIES

The Hush Post: A biggest robbery chain carried out by a gang has been cracked by the CIA staff of Jagraon Police. Four persons including a man claiming to be an Akali worker were arrested by Jagraon police today. The gang of four laced with weapons used to snatch motorcycles and commit robberies thereafter in the three nearby districts. The CIA staff of Jagraon Police has recovered 65 motorcycles and three pistols from the culprits. The police have claimed that this is the biggest ever recovery of motorcycles from Ludhiana till now. The police got a tip-off about some persons laced with weapons near an industrial unit near Bhamal villager. The CIA staff headed by Lakhbir Singh drove to the place. The moment the police party landed there, the gangsters started running helter-skelter. The police was however, able to round-up four of them — Joban, Sukhraj, Dilbagh and Tarsem. The cops were able to recover pistols and an intoxicant they would use on their prey.

During interrogation, it was also found that Dilbagh Singh was the president of ST cell of Akalis in Majitha. The gang has carried out robberies from two-wheeler owners in Ludhiana, Amritsar and Taran Tarn districts.
