The Hush Post: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has announced three helplines for public convenience, to make the common man feel secure and have access to government help without fear and to create awareness among masses.
Making the announcement at the Shimla Press Club,he said for safety of women, a 24 hour service Gudiya helpline will be set up with three special crime cells, one each at Mandi, Shimla and Kangra. Officers of these cells will be entrusted with the task to report cases of crime against women without any delay and all helpline will be directly linked to the chief minister’s office.
“The day-to-day reporting of these cases on all the helplines will be monitored at the chief minister’s office level under my direct supervision. Action will be taken within 48 hours in the cases,” said the Chief Minister.
He also announced Atal helpline for reporting corruption cases and Hoshiar Singh helpline for other cases of crime.
