The Hush Post: Once a firebrand Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Pravin Togadia was found lying unconscious in Ahmedabad. After he was reported missing, 62-year-old Togadia was found at Shahibaug, Ahmedabad on Monday. At present, Togadia is in Chandramani Hospital in Shahibaug. He is suffering from low blood sugar.
In the meanwhile, the VHP claimed that Togadia was detained by Rajasthan Police. Though, a Rajasthan police official claimed that there wasn’t any arrest of Togadia by the state police.
The Sola police station official in Rajasthan said that their Police was looking for Praveen Togadia in an old case and there was an arrest warrant against the Hindutva leader under section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC, however, he wasn’t available at his residence.
Togadia took an autorickshaw from the VHP headquarters in Paldi area this morning and was out of anybody’s touch since then. According to the doctors attending on him, “He is recovering from hypoglycemia.” Togadia is gradually getting back to normal, though he is not stable enough to issue any statement.
The issue snowballed into a major controversy and also the fact that he was missing came to light when in the evening VHP workers started their protest at Sola police station and shouted slogans asking an immediate look out for their president.
