Nitish govt invites textile & apparel industrialists of Ludhiana

Ludhiana, The Hush Post: Department of Industries, Bihar in association with AEPC organised Apparel Meet here today to showcase initiatives taken by State Govt. to attract investment in apparel and textile sector. Dr S Siddharth, IAS, Principal Secretary gave detailed presentation on policy initiative, infrastructure, ease of doing business, land availability, skilled labourer, etc. Dr Siddharth said that around 2,000 acres of land is available and Bihar is ready to allot land as per requirement of investor. He gave details of the Industrial Investment Promotion Policy 2016. Dr Siddharth told that skilled labour availability is the strength of our state. Bihar has launched online Single Window Clearance System where investor can submit proposal for investment online from anywhere and approval of government will be communicated online.RS Srivastava, IRS, Investment Commissioner said that the government is eagerly waiting to welcome investors from across world. Electricity availability has improved a lot and its more than 22 hours a day everywhere in the state. There is large domestic market as population is about 11 crore.

More than 50 exporters participated in the apparel meet. Some of those who participated are RB Knit Exports, Castle Apparels Pvt Ltd, Banga Knitwear, KG Exports, JCT Ltd, Million Exports, Vardhman, Puneet Knitwear, Ruchi Enterprises, Jairath International, Worldwide Traders. Ravindra Prasad, ITS, Director Technical Development and Vimal Kumar CEO Udyog Mitra participated in the meet. Harish Dua, member AEPC, Narender Chugh member AEPC, Premi Lal, AEPC also participated in the apparel meet.
