Withdrawal of nomination papers on March 23; election to be held on April 6.
The Hush Post, Ludhiana: Election of new executive body of Ludhiana District Bar Association (DBA) will scheduled to be held on April 6, 2018. On Thursday, Returning Officers (ROs’) team declared the election schedule for nomination, scrutiny and withdrawal.
Returning Officers’ team comprising of RO Jatinder Pal Singh Pally, Assistant Returning Officers Lalita Jain, Anil Kumar Saluja and Rakesh Gandhi said the nomination papers will be filled on March 20 & 21. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be scrutiny on March 22 and withdrawal will be followed on March 23.
In the DBA election, presently on all the posts, most of candidates already declared their candidature by installing banners, boards and through campaign. For the post of President, Parupkar Singh Ghuman has once again declared his candidature. In the last year tenure, due the controversial situation, DBA had run its tenure without any elected President. The other candidates Vijay B Verma, Kanwal Harpal Singh and Aman Rani have also declared his candidature for the post of President.
Amit Rai has declared his candidature for the post of Joint Secretary. For post of Secretary, Gurinder Singh Kahlon, Mandeep Singh Sidhu and Hari Om Jindal are in fray. For the post of Vice President, Harjot Singh, Gurdeep Singh Salh, Ritesh Dhir and Yogesh Khanna are contesting. For the post of Finance Secretary, Gagandeep Singh Lamba, Rakesh Sharma and Rupali Molri have announced their candidature.
