POSSIBLE TERROR LINK BEING TRACKED TO KASOL, A TOURIST DESTINATION IN HIMACHAL WHERE ISRAELIS COME IN HORDES

The Hush Post: After an arrest of a terrorist in Pratapgarh Uttar Pradesh, the Himachal Police is tracking the incoming and outgoing tourists in Kasol area of Kullu. The arrested man with possible terror links has confessed that he had lived in Kasol for some time. About a year ago, a terrorist named Abid Khan was arrested from Banjar area of Kullu district and worked as a motivator there. Banjar is in the vicinity of Kasol, and like Kasol, is known to attract tourists in huge numbers. Since the area is remote, it is very difficult to track the movement of suspicious people here.

A special unit of CBI and police is on an alert and tracking all the tourists and also checking their antecedents and documents of incoming tourists. A man with terror links arrested by the UP police, has confessed that he had carried out a recee of areas inhabited by the Israelis in Kasol. The presence of terrorists in the area could also be a matter of concern for the Jew tourists, who come here after conscription.

Kasol, is an area inhabited by the Israelis. The police is tracking all the trekking routes, guest houses, hotels and places in the vicinity up to Manikaran to ascertain movement of suspicious elements. After conscription, youth from Israel come here and stay for a very long time, in certain cases they remain here for years. The area is almost become like a mini-Israel with signboards in Hebrew.
