The Hush Post: Padman actor Akshay Kumar was wounded on the sets of Kesari during an action sequence as per a TV report.
The movie directed by Anurag Chopra is based on Battle of Saragarhi which features Parineeti Chopra and will be up in theatres on Holi 2019.
The report claimed that the actor got an injury in his ribs while shooting the climax and had to take a break from the shooting on Wednesday. He has been advised rest and has a chopper on standby. Despite being suggested to go back to Mumbai, Akshay took the decision to stay at the shoot location Wai. He was supposed to finish shooting the action sequences on Thursday.
The movie Kesari is based on the Saragarhi battle of 1897. The battle was fought between British Indian Army and Afghan Orakzai tribesmen in North-West Frontier Province.
The British Indian Army had 21 Sikh soldiers, and Akshay is playing the role of Havildar Ishwar Singh. Singh was the leader of the Sikhs in the fight. The film will present Akshay doing many action stunts which are being choreographed by the Oscar-winning stunt coordinator Lawrence Woodward.
“I have been shooting for ‘Kesari’ since the last one and a half months, and every time that I wear the taaj (turban) on my head, I am filled with pride,” Akshay had said earlier.
