Social media was taken by storm when someone posted a rumour that the yesteryear diva has passed away due to a cardiac arrest. Ironically, Mumtaz’s family had to pitch in on the social media to stop the canard. Her younger daughter Tanya Madhvani has posted a video on Instagram denying the rumour.
Dispelling the rumours, Tanya said, “My mother doing well” and is “enjoining (enjoying in ) rome today”. “Happy and Healthy ” she added.
In her video, Tanya said, “My mother is absolutely fine and the reports surrounding her health are false. Please don’t pay heed to them and pray for her good health”, she said, adding that she was about to go shopping with her mother in a while. Subsequently, Tanya also shared latest pictures of Mumtaz where she seems healthy and fine.
Mumtaz had bid adieu to showbiz decades ago and relocated to London. Mumtaz had delivered several hits like Do Raaste, Chor Machaye Shor and Bandhan, was last seen in Bollywood in the 1990 film Aandhiyan.
